Marine LePen, the leader of French fascists, took offense in an interview with CNN this week when Ms Ammanpour called it a "far right party" and noted that in the US they'd be considered centrist. Sad, but true! Our fascists are really more extreme than those in Europe. AND have way more guns. America is an empire in precipitous decline, like Biden's mental acuity. This is the fault of Trump, but even more than satan himself it is the enablers that are to blame for facilitating Putin's plan to weaken America by unleashing the Trojan horse that is Trumpism.
Mature, moderate Republicans are sounding the alarm on THEIR side, but Trump's minions attack them as RINOs and seem to be carrying the day in public discourse. That said, post debate polling shows TRUMP losing support in several swing states (Michigan and Wisconsin) so maybe voters are not as stupid as most presume and realize how truly terrifying TRUMP was next to pathetic Biden. Putin surely has the Cheshire cat grin seeing his plan work to perfection.
There is one, perhaps only one, who can save US but she wants no part of politics.

One other hopeful note: If the Hamas Israel war is resolved and hostages released as now looks imminent, Sleepy Joe will get a big bump in approval rating. Like the immigration bill by Senator Lankford of Oklahoma which Trump torpedoed because he NEEDS the border as his main issue, Trump is surely scheming how to undermine a peace deal as that,. like the border bill, poses an existential threat to his candidacy. And if Trump loses, and Biden/Harris now have immunity thanks to the Trump Court, the paybacks could be truly epic. Joe is too old for severe retribution, but hopefully Kamala would punish the miinions.
As Attorney General of California, she was vicious in going after criminals (her strong suit where she really did excel) so hopefully she would unleash the Justice department on Trumpers. Biden has not done it, despite the false accusations by Trump's minions but I am very confident she will be much less restrained in punishing the election deniers and coup plotters.
IMHO she is not a great executive but she is a very zealous prosecutor; In a second term Biden should remove her from the border project where she has failed and put her in charge of prosecution of Trump enablers where she would thrive. She has her faults, but unlike Gavin being soft on crime is NOT among them. Coddling criminals-including illegal aliens- is Gavin's Achillies heel; other than that he's terrific but that is a serious shortcoming ESPECIALLY given current circumstances where crime is a major public concern.

Gotta agree Biden needs to bow out ASAP. As Adam Schiff put it today, oh how I wish he was the dem nominee, facing a convicted felon and serial liar etc ANY opponent should be double digits ahead in the race. The fact that he is not is an indictment of Biden.

Hes also not a homophobe, another redeeming feature. Nor is he a christian, yet another redeeming feature.
But lack of anti semitism alone does not vitiate his populism/fascism hybrid. Yes it differs from nazism is that regard.
He also is somewhat moderate on abortion, actually he is a long time pro choice donor-paid for many abortions- but to not alienate the base he has to pretend to have been converted to a right to lifer, but cleverly asserts that it is a states rights issue.
He is very skilled at reading polling and he knows reversing Roe was very unpopular, something like 66% of voters opposed that. So hes taken a moderate position.
He's not stupid; he's MUCH smarter than Joe even before dementia struck Joe, ZERO doubt about that.
Melania's immigration is an interesting case indeed; working as a nude model on a tourist visa which is unlawful; she had no "entertainers" visa.

NOT because it wasn't tough enough; rather, because he wanted the mess at the border to remain until after the election so he could claim credit for fixing it which was the ONLY reason he scuttled Lankford's bill.. Joes executive order was 3 years late but better late than never.
Not every thing about Trump's platform is bad, just most of it.

Every court except 1 who heard challenges to the election rejected the claims, and several of Trump's attorneys have been disbarred for unethical conduct in connection with the filing of those frivolous cases. Even judges he appointed rejected the spurious claims.samanthaNwilli said:
