Oh yes, I quite agree, some who have been so thoroughly blindsided by a cheating wife would relish the revenge aspects of the story. The way the plot thickened I kept asking myself "when is this guy gonna put his foot down". One thing for sure, when the time came he certainly didn't pull any punches.
