Jim took Linda out to dinner last night. It was very strange for us when he came to pick her up. We really didn’t know what to say to each other and stood there awkwardly as we waited for Linda to come out. Fortunately, Linda allowed me to be dressed in normal grown-up clothes so I didn’t have to face Jim in baby clothes. Linda did tell me that they kissed when he walked her to the door, but he didn’t come in or try anything else. They did, however, talk about that there would be future dating, perhaps as early as next week. I’m supposed to play golf with Jim on Monday. I’m sure it is going to be awkward and interesting to hear what he says about their date.
Since it was a weeknight, Linda didn’t bother getting a sitter for me and left me alone to get ready for bed. I was very happy that she didn’t bring Jim into the house when they returned. However, she told me not to expect that following future dates as she said she could see an intimate relationship possibly starting between them. Oh dear!
The other interesting thing that happened while Linda was gone, she left her phone at home, which I thought was rather strange, but I guess it was accidentally (she said). Her phone rang around 8:00 and when I saw who it was on the caller ID, I answered it. It was Tom! (her old long time boyfriend Tom)
We talked for only a few minutes. When he asked to speak to Linda, I happily informed him that she was out on a date. He didn’t seem too surprised at that and asked if I would ask Linda to call him when she had time. I said I would. I’m not sure if Linda will return the call or not. And I’m very curious what he wants.

I am back at Karen and Dave's house (home #2) for the weekend because Linda wanted the house to herself to get ready for her date with Rob tonight. Tom was not happy to hear that and asked Linda if she was having sex with them. She told him she was with Rob but had just started dating Jim but was sure it would lead to that soon.
