My wife and I are headed to the casinos in Connecticut for the holiday weekend, and as a tiny step in the right direction, my wife has nervously agreed to spend some time at one of the casino bars, sitting by herself, to see what level of interest she can attract from the men in the bar. I'll be seated elsewhere in the bar watching the goings-on from a distance.
She told me that she would do this, but would not actively pursue the men, but if a man came up to her, to talk her up, ask her to dance, buy her a drink, etc. that she would participate. She's made it clear that the "etc." part does NOT include much beyond the talking, flirting, and dancing.
So, when she's seated alone at the bar, should she keep her engagement ring and wedding ring on, or should she take them off beforehand? It would be much more of a turn-on for me to watch all of this go down with the rings ON, but at the same time, I don't want to turn away any potential encounters because the guy sees the wedding rings and moves on to a more likely candidate. Or do the truly determined guys pay no attention to the rings?
Your thoughts on this?
Also, for those of you familiar with either of the CT casinos, I'd welcome your suggestions about which bars/restaurants there might be best for this.
Thanks.
