Hot Summer in the City is a 1976 adult film by director Gail Palmer aka "The Hare". The film is a co-production of Imperial Films with Palmer's HARE Films.
It is the story of a White girl who is abducted by a group of Black men.
Hot Summer in the City features Playmate of the Year 1967, Lisa Baker in her first and only film, as Debby the lead role. The film is classified as a classical roughie with its depiction of sexual violence on females. It also employs many of the popular blaxploitation themes of the period. Throughout the film the radio plays songs by Robert Knight, The Beach Boys, The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Doors, and The Shangri-Las, while Summer in the City is used as the theme song.

Debby is a young virgin who resists her fianc?'s advances for premarital sex. One night she arrives home and finds her mother in a threesome with two men. Shocked, she wanders along the highway where four Black men in a car verbally abuse and kidnap her. Duke, the leader of the gang rapes Debby. The men take her to the cabin they live and Duke declares that she is his "chick". Other members of the gang oppose and they start a poker game for sexual rights over her. Shorty and Coke win and they I'm an asshole Debby. Next morning, Duke's girlfriend Jody and a mafioso-type White man who pays the gang to start a race riot in the city arrive at the cabin. After the White man leaves, Jody expresses her discontent for the presence of the "honky bitch" and Duke's protective approach towards her. Duke gives his men the order to I'm an asshole Jody. While gang members engage in a sequence of punitive I'm an asshole, Duke takes Debby to his room to console her and the two have sex. Next day Debby attempts to run but she is caught. Duke and two of the men depart to accomplish the plans for the riot. Jody leads Stitch the mentally retarded member of the gang to ravish Debby anally. When Stitch is done, Jody stabs him to death and gets on Debby to "cut her tit off" but Duke arrives at the scene and kills Jody with a shotgun. Duke takes Debby out and gives the directions to the environs of her house. He gets on the car and goes away while Debby looks on.
