I think it's much like using the word "bitch" and "slut" for women. Generally, you don't use that language. Any woman should be insulted if she's called a "bitch" or a "slut" in everyday conversation.
In the course of sex, however, it can add some spice for some people. It can egg them on. "You think I'm slut? Wait 'til you see what I do to you next!"
It's definitely a case-by-case basis. Some guys frown and pull away. Others just get hyped to hear a girl talk trash.
