Not a bad plan at all in theory. The key, obviously, would be to never, ever let her know it was a set-up. If she does she will be furious and your chances of it ever happening, let alone becoming a regular occurence, will be shot to hell. A secret is no longer a secret once a second person knows it. Be sure it's a guy you can and do trust implicitly. But, as far as plans go, it's a fairly good one. Besides, what have you got to lose? If she's never going to do it anyway and she does find out it was a set up the end result is the same.

umm, just a suggestion but you might want to take her to the swing club BEFORE you contact anybody. What happens if one the big night she decides that is too wild an idea and won't go?

Your internet ally will show up, and there she won't be. Also, unless she is a complete idiot, she will start to wonder about how "fortunate" you both are that on the very first trip, somebody jumps into your lap, so to speak.

And, if she ever finds out you set this up behind her back, you might have a problem on your hands.

I agree it would be nice if all this could done above board and honestly. But let's face it: the world does not always work that way. Sometimes to get what you want in life you have to do some scheming behind the scenes.

And as far as lies go, this would be a pretty white one. I would simply be arranging a situation and letting the chips fall where they may.

If you can talk her into going to a swing club you should just take her to TJ's Lasting Impressions on one of their Interracial Party nights. It's close to you and you wouldn't have to bother finding a black guy to meet you there. You don't have to lie or scheme, just tell her you'd like to check it out with her. No promises of doing anything and tell her that if she feels uncomfortable you'll leave. My first swinging experience, although not interracial was decided upon in a similar wayt to what Will/Eve suggest. My husband suggested a swing club and I agreed to think about it and he never said another word about it. I think this topic is more fantasy than reality. If it is real- it is a bad idea, and one that is likely going to be very difficult to pull off.
