Using craigslist for hookups...

Has anybody got any tips/stories about hooking up using craigslist.org?

Some people say it's a bust, but with that many people posting so many ads, it has to be working for somebody.

Does anyone here check their ads? Have you responded to or placed any? Is it easier for SBM, MWF or MWC?

It depends on what city you live in. I think it is far easier for a woman to find a guy on there, since there are so many postings. I think probably 90 percent of the postings from women are bots, spams, or hookers. But I have met some black guys from there who were pretty cool and upfront about what they were looking for. It works, sometimes.

You can usually tell the bots from the real people. The site has always worked for us.

Here's a tip. The best section to browse is m4mw, mw4m, mw4mw(although, it's couple for couple, some mention select singles, so single guys also check out that section!). W4m consists of nothing but spam. I haven't been sucesssful, but I got a few responses from legitimate couples. Some people just want pics, some are too rude or too busy to respond the numerous. You have to sift through alot of BS. But, it's easier for couples rather than single guys.

I agree...most of my luck had been with mw4m ads, but I've met a few w4m(just a few)...so it can work, but as said before....be prepared to sift thru a ton of BS.

But if you don't mind doing that then...yes indeed you can hook-up on Craigslist, I've actually met most of the people I "played" with from CL...it's a lot more local than Yahoo or DC.
