Yes Norm pooch is right the nascar is not a redneck race anymore. Over here west of me about 90 miles they built a track at a town called newton Iowa check it out pooch they eveen paved the track here in Iowa and had some nascar races there last year. So it is north and I guess it isn't to redneck as you can take your motorhome to the race to enjoy the party all day long with the others that drive their pickups. On my pooch I want to make sure I can get the armadildo races I know they have them in Texas who's a good one to root for, thats got to be right up there with the chip toss we have something you don't though pooch every year they crown a pork queen at the fair must be 18 and under to win the crown. Did get running water this week that is nice got tired of pissing in a bucket. Toby Keith isn't he the one that stared in the gay porn movie Cum strum my Strings starring Toby no wonder someone likes him.

Hell, you guys are right. I'd rather participate in a sports thread or one about politics or anything else intellectually stimulating rather than reading crap about whining men complaining about how short their dicks are. So you post on, Pooch!

Sometimes I think folks watch car racing for the same reason some people watch hockey. To see the accidents/fights. I know its big and just about every race has over 100,000 fans and its an all weekend tailgate party. I just can't stand those real down home sugary southern accents on the announcers for too long.

See pooch now you know why I love this woman has that "I don't care what any of you say" got to love a woman that thinks like that now Norm you have a LADY thats gonna set you straight on the Pats. You best rethink the game over on who you are gonna root for.

Can't Mule. Been a Pats fan since "76" and this will be historic if they win. Damn though, how I wish it would have been Cowboys vs Pats. Been a "Boys" fan since "66" and this would have been a hell of thing to watch.

Its not that I don't admire or respect what the Jints have accomplished in the second half of the year because I do. They deserve to be in the SB. And if it weren't the Pats I would be rooting for the Giants as I am a fan of the NFC East.

Hey pooch there's a kid 18 years old that is from Cedar Rapids Iowa very close to me that is gonna drive the no.5 national guard chevy in the bush race this year. According to the paper the JR Motorsports owned by Earnhardt Jr has hired him to drive. Cassil is his name his dad runs a big car dealership in Cedar Rapids I know him so I will have to follow this 18 year old.

Hey Norm pooch hasn't been here a couple of days so I suppose he is writting his Giants winning speech for the DC sports fourm he started when the Giants kick ass. I see according to fox the 49ers were the greatest team so far in history with the boys running second the pats were like 4 or 5 in the top 8 teams. It should be a good super bowl but I agree it would of been better if it were the boys playing.

have never really followed the Busch series much...i mean come on now, i am still a brother. Its enough I like Nascar.
i agree some fans only watch for the inevitible "big crash", like some hockey fans for fights, but the real fans of both sports like the pure speed and action and competition.

ok with all the hype and some days to reflect...it is hard as a fan not to think your'e team is going to win. but my first thought bout this matchup was, that with 2 weeks off and playing in perfect weather/field in dome, Pats will spread Giants out, limit there pass rush, and out score Giants, ..playing there typical mistake free game. The Giants will make enough plays to keep it close for a while, run and pass enough to keep it close. To win, Giants MUST win turnover battle, win special teams..which is one of their strengths, and have success on the ground controlling the clock some, and put some hits on Brady. Thats alot of things they must do to win. Pats 33 - Giants 23

saw Memphis play a good Houston team last night...damn that is a deep athletic team. have no idea if they are better than the other powers in NCAA, but they were impressive.

Mets STEALING Johan Santana is a great move for them. He will dominate the weak hitting national league. Even in his worst year last year for Twins, he had a 3.33 era in AL, which is good run better then most pitchers. It sucks for Twins, and the "smaller market clubs" who can compete in a given year or 2, but in long run, really can;t. Twins have been one of best run organizations in past couple decades and it just sucks they cant afford to keep there best players. They lost Tory Hunter and Santana now, there division is dynamite, they are going to be bottom feeders for a while.

OK poch they will spread the field out but the key of winning this game is knocking Bradys nuts up to his ears in the first quarter. They are gonna have to hammer his ass to the turf from the start work his ass over take a couple of cheap shots on him and take the flags but if they hammer his ass from the start he"s done and with that the special teams and offense can score and run the clock control the game . Do not let Brady ass run the clock on you hammer that jerk and belecheck ass right in the ground god how I'd love to line up on that prick. Giants kick ass 27 to 21 pattys go home crying they hurt our brady boy.

Giants aren't a big scoring team and Pats have a pretty damn good defense themselves. A good rush by the Jints will stop the long passes but Pats have enough talent for the short passing game and a couple of good runners to keep the Giants honest. They won't do like Dallas did and stop running in the second half.

If the Giants are to win this time, I believe they will have to hold the Pats to 21 points or fewer and get at least 3 turnovers. Paying off a ref or two wouldn't hurt either.

i dont think you are respecting the Gmen offensive talent, for they have never been more healthy all year, despite not having shockey. they have 3 solid and dangerous receivers now, plus a tight end who is a factor, not to mention a fine OL and 2 dangerous backs, one who hopefully can bruise and control them some, and another who might break one. Who knows, maybe Eli really is emerging and peaking and reaching his #1 pick in draft, and "mannning" destiny...hey he made the big game couple years faster than his brother did! ok so i digress, this is what 2 weeks in between games does to a fan. anway, least i didnt post the Giants website here, nor lay homage to Tom Coughlin as the best coach all time (although he must get some respect for his achievements)

least i have some hope to hold on until game time..lol Giants should score some, but still want to limit Pats possessions, Pats D is not totally dominating..unless of course they get a 10 pt or more lead, then its over. Giants need to play with the lead or tie to keep it close.
Giants dont have to abuse Brady, although nothing would be better than to see him take some real clean hits, but they must disrupt him on key 1st & 3 downs...and couple times limit them to field goal attempts. I wouldnt mind letting them run Maroney and work the clock.
Pats just have more overall weapons, how can you pick against Brady, there defensive backs are superior to the Giants...the key talent difference between the teams, and the reason Pats will eventually win game i think. But Giants win wouldnt be greatest upset of all time, but would be one of hugest losses of all time for Pats.
assuming pats win, you have to give them best single season team of all-time...greatest team..debatable...i still think the Steelers who had hall of famer or all pro at almost every position are greatest team.

offnote question to people...was Tom Petty born stoned. I saw him interviewed yesterday ...weird dude.
not sure there are redskin fans here anymore...but what the hell is Snyder doing...I love it.
Mets better sign Santana or Queens will riot.

I thought Tom Coughlin was roughed up needlessly last year. Good to see him rebound this year. He deserved more respect.

Hard to disagree with a couple of those Pittsburgh teams. They defeated my Cowboys in a couple of Super Bowls back in the "70's".

I like a lot of Tom Petty's music. But yeah, these old rockers always look stoned.

  • #514
cant say i know that much bout T. Petty but i dont think he was stoned, just his natural look. prob from being stoned so much over the years who knows. he is safe for the NFL and very popular so that is all they care about.
Coughlin is def a very solid coach..his record speaks for itself. he def deserved some of the blame last year, but injuries really killed them last year too, but he is in NY...everything is so far blown over board..everything there...he did make playoffs..now 3 years in row...not many coaches have done that.. plus he had a 14-2 jaguars team before too not too mention being a superbowl champ asst coach for Giants and Parcells, and he is one of the coaches who built and got Boston College up to the national power they now are, beating Notre Dame few times. Go Giants!

  • #515
That would give the Pats trouble as Maroney is the wrong type of runner to do well against the Giants in most cases. But you can't hold all those receivers all the time. And Pats do have an excellent O-line, many of which did not play against the Giants last time.

Well the time for talk is almost over.

GO PATS!

  • #516
boo hoo rams you won a sb with that great team ..barely ..did Tenn have youre signals too? Pats beat ya fair and square, stop crying about it already, be happy for what ya had.

the holding isnt a bad idea if executed properly. who says pats wont try it themselves.

the pregame shows...fox & nfl network are both virtually unwatchable. Go Giants

Great game. Great defense. Giants had to hold Pats to a low scoring game to have a chance and they did. Got to hand it to them, they beat what were considered the top three teams in football in a row. They showed they belonged on the field and they deserved the win. They peaked at the right time. I still can't believe they beat the Boys, Pack and Pats but they did and I salute them.

I wonder if Brady's gal pal thinks Eli is kind of cute right about now?

  • #519
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!! Damn that feels good to say.

Eli can tell all the detractors where to stick it...he has lived up to his #1 draft pick/trade status etc...whether he never plays another game or not...hell he got the ring in only his 4th year, his brother took what 6? Strahan can now retire before going to Canton. The Giants beat the crap out of Brady, he took more hits today than he did the whole year combined, and it was beautiful to watch. Least he got Giselle and 60 mill to take the pain away (and he is gonna be sore as shit tomorrow!) Pats were a great team, classy in defeat. The Giants coaching staff clearly out coached the Pats and Belechick the genius! I guess Brady isnt the best QB of all time when he is getting his ass beaten on every other play?

NY over Boston..again..got to love that too. i almost feel bad for Junior Seau not getting his ring...almost..lol Belechick looked stylish in his red (red????) hoodie...should have stuck to ugly gray

YEA BABY Big Blue Wrecking Crew #1

im not here to compare eli to brady, for brady is far more accomplished, but Manning came through when it was needed, and he deserves his props..(as he has deserved the criticism he got.(and being in NY he got a ton)).....that amazing play is just part of it. he only made the plays he had to make..he didnt make mistakes...he stayed under control, how many 3rd down conversions did he make? he played a good game, he was under duress all game too, pats defense is tough. its not like the Giants had the running game going. but he did lead them to touchdown winning drive with 2 min left to win the SB...hmmmm isnt that exactly what Brady did in his first SB against the Rams. Giants def won game on defense and field possesion, but Eli surely did his job and more. spin it anyway you want...Giants and Ely have scoreboard.
