It’s funny how our lives are affected by our individual schedules. A slight change in the routine completely alters who we meet in life. That daily stop for your morning pick-me-up introduces new people to your routine when you come in an hour later. It was just such a change in Eric’s schedule that allowed him the chance to meet Vivian. Timing, after all is everything.
A keen observer wouldn’t have noticed the similarities in their individual sexual desires but even the blind could have felt the electricity that was sparked between them the first time they met. Vivian was waiting for her order when Eric first walked in. She turned at the ringing of a bell tied to the entrance door by the owner and attempted to hide her interest by quickly looking at the floor in front of his feet, then turning back to the counter as if she wasn’t interested.
Of course, she was interested and Vivian started, in that brief second to think to herself that he has to be married. He was dressed in a casual manner but his appearance definitely conveyed a look that said he was on his way to work. The size of his order confirmed her suspicions. He was probably buying enough for his coworkers she surmised as she glanced at his left hand. No ring was there. Hmmm she thought. Maybe there is hope.
Vivian was married but that wouldn’t hamper her sexual desires any longer. Her husband of 21 years had agreed that she should look for a boyfriend and this was a considerable step for him. A soldier’s soldier for thirty years, Stan wasn’t one to easily step aside just so his wife could experience the joy of sexual embrace. Regardless, they had both acknowledged his physical limitations had given them little choice in the matter. He couldn’t allow the woman he loved to be ****** to rely upon the use of his tongue or toys to compensate for his inability to reach an erection. He knew she needed and deserved much more.
Stan believed he was cursed with two symptoms that had put him in this predicament. It was indeed the injuries he sustained in combat that slowly wore down his body but they weren’t readily apparent when fully clothed. Even at the gym in shorts and a t-shirt the scars were only noticeable if you knew where to look. Stan kept himself in decent shape since retiring but that only reinforced his belief in a curse when he looked in the gym mirrors. How could he look this capable yet still not be able to please a woman properly. Truth be told, neither Stan nor Vivian had always been exclusive in their marriage. Military life and the long separations that periodically occur had led them both on different sexual paths occasionally but neither of them spoke of those times until recently.
A few years ago they faced the reality of their future after speaking with the doctors and learning the condition was permanent. Three days later a true heart to heart conversation about the future of their marriage was initiated. After all, it had been two years since a rise in his blood pressure had been detected after a noticeable change in bedroom abilities. The doctor’s prognosis combined Stan’s previous injuries caused his rollercoaster ride of a life to appear completely uphill until the end. What many might find strange is it was actually Stan that brought up the crazy idea of Vivian taking a lover.
