It takes no PH/D in history or politics to realize that the only POTUS every convicted of felonies (Nixon never charged let alone convicted) is the worst ever (45th out of 45).

It is al;so beyond dispute that Honest Abe, who saved the Nation and paid with his life for that heroism, is the best ever. Barack the Great ranks #7 and is moving up quickly.
If the damn 22nd Amendment had not prevented a third and 4th term, he'd be top 5 for sure. FDR had 14 years in office while Barack was term limited to just 8!

The survey was conducted online among more than 500 members of the American Political Science Association, an organization of professionals in the field. Respondents rated Biden at 62.66 on a scale of 100 for overall greatness, good for 14th out of 45 presidents.

Abraham Lincoln scored the highest rating at 93.87, followed by Franklin Delano Roosevelt at 90.83 and George Washington at 90.32.

Trump scored 10.92. Fifteenth President James Buchanan, the second-worst rated president, scored 16.71.​

The survey asked respondents to rate all presidents with 0 being considered "failure," 50 being "average" and 100 being "great."

Republicans and conservatives notably rank Trump worse than Biden, as well. Trump ranked 41st and 43rd by Republicans and conservatives, respectively. Meanwhile, Biden was ranked 30th by both.


Republicans and conservatives ranked Washington the greatest president, while Democrats ranked him third and independents, second.

Democrats, independents, liberals and moderates rated Lincoln as the greatest president and Trump the worst.

Trump was also rated the most polarizing president. He was identified as among the most polarizing presidents more than twice as many times as any other president. Washington was rated the least polarizing. Jimmy Carter was also among the least polarizing presidents.

Carter was also ranked the most underrated president. John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan were ranked as the most overrated.

Barack Obama's ranking has seen one of the biggest increases since the survey began in 2015, moving up nine spots to seventh. His rating this year is 73.8. Andrew Jackson on the other hand has fallen 12 places to 21st with a rating of 54.7.

Its looking more and more like it will be Kamala atop the ticket. Most of us moderates keep praying, even the athiests, that Michelle Obama will put saving the World ahead of her personal antipathy for politics, but odds are so small that we must resign ourselves to yet more mediocrity.

But she is young and fit beyond question, and Hunter is not her son. That vitiates the primary arguments made by the Trumpistas why their champion's myriad criminality and proven dishonesty should be ignored because a bigger danger is the fact that sleepy Joe is not up to the job.

Ive never really liked her, even when we went to law school together (I was two years ahead of her she a first year when I was about to graduate).
She was an EXCELLENT DA of San Francisco and later AG of California. Although I strongly disagree with her opposition to capital punishment she has NEVER been soft on criminals like Governor Gavin who I've also met in person when he was Mayor here.

If she sticks to talking abortion and attacking Trump's criminality she is EXCELLENT and will likely will. But staying on message is not going to be easy.

And immigration will be THE issue in November just as it was in France, even more than the usual number 1 issue the economy.
