I’ve read that there’s a potential link between historic retroactive jealousy disorder and an enjoyment of cuckolding.

This struck me as counter intuitive. However the literature suggested that the kink can become a coping mechanism bourne of an inability to be “ok” with a partners sexual past.

Being cuckolded.

That’s why I thought it was counter intuitive. I could see the logical link to cuckolding as a way of “compensating” for an insecurity, but being cuckolded surely would compound their misery?
