"Knocking out your wife" might be a tad extreme. Perhaps you'd want to try "A couple of drinks to lower her inhibitions." This may have the desired effect. If you put her in the situation to have her choose between your little weenie and a big love club... add in some strong muscles, a little attitude and before you know it, you're sitting in the corner watching.
