Woman Charged In Husband's Kinky Sex Death, She Covered Hubby's Mouth, Eyes With Duct Tape, Left Him Alone For 20 Hours, He Asphyxiated - CBS News

ok so this girl ties up her husband, covering everything but the nostrils with duct tape and who knows what else, goes to a hotel with another guy (who the husband met online, paid for his ticket from Cali to Tenn. etc) and comes back after 20 hours to a dead husband.

WE know that it was a sexual game, and we know that there probably isn't anyone on the planet that regrets what happened more than this woman herself, but I'll be you that the judge doesn't know, or that he at least pretends not to since this has made national news.

Moral of the story: Be smart. Never let someone tie you up in such a way that you can't release yourself. Personally I would never let anyone tie me up AT ALL, but if you're into it just try to realize that anything can happen lol

This story emphasizes the reasons why we (well, most of us) in the D/s lifestyle employ the SAFE, SANE, AND CONSENSUAL kind of control. It's highly likely that the woman truly feels grief for the demise of her husband, and it's obvious that HE was a willing participant, in that HE arranged the travel for the man that his wife went to the hotel with.

Will is right when he says that society will likely ignore all the obvious signs that this was simply a tragic miscalculation on the part of all the participants, resulting in the husband's death. The state will use every available rule of law to ensure that the woman pays the maximum penalty regardless, because D/s'ers march to a different drum, much like the polygamous group in Texas will endure the harshest penalties that state can bring to bear against them.

It goes back to a question I posed in another thread here... 'WHAT'S NORMAL?' If you ain't 'normal,' you should impose a thick layer of security when indulging your kinks, to keep others from becoming 'involved' in your personal business. No... I'M NOT SAYING this case should result in anything other than a matter of fact investigation as to what really happened; I'm only saying the state will likely go overboard in getting the harshest penalty possible. And that's the pity of it all.

So, be VERY CAREFUL when you engage in bondage, or other kinky sexual practices. Put the SAFETY of your partner above everything else, including your need for control. There's just as much intensity there, and you don't end up in situations such as this thread describes... Again, SAFE, SANE, AND CONSENSUAL... That's the best policy, always.
