I read an article in Scientific American that said they found that the same gene that helps blacks be more resistant to cretin types of malaria is giving them a 4 times greater risk of contracting AIDS. Its a recent article but I don't remember which month.

With 1 in 5 adults in the US carrying herpes you have to be very careful. That number rises significantly for the 18-35 year old males, and its even higher for blacks. All things considered you are probably putting yourself at great risk screwing with a young promiscuous black male.

Rather than point out there findings and possibly offend someone (because let's face it, no one likes there culture to be criticized, even if it's constructively), I'd suggest anyone with a serious interest watch that.

No thanks... It's probably another rehash of "Poor, poor pitiful me". It may not be 100% of the show, but there will be some percentage. I'm tired of hearing it.

I think blacks need to move past the victimization and put the wrongs of slavery/Jim Crow behind them. I know they had a crappy deal in the past, but when are they going to move on? Next year? Ten years from now? A hundred?

This and illegitimacy are things you're not going to get many blacks to discuss. They know its a problem, but its a lifestyle change that needs to happen. I'd say one of the suggestions was correct, they fuck more often with more sexual partners.

If you'd bothered to watch the show you would see both sides of the story. There are blacks who insist on playing the victim and blaming the world for their own shortcomings and there are others who are responsible and mature individuals who criticize the do-nothing complainers and who point out that those others are the real reason blacks in America aren't better off than they are.

As an aside, I would also like to mention that I work in an educational institution, and we often have exchange students. We had a rather large group from Equatorial Guinea a while back and they refused to have anything to do with "American blacks" and their families even warned them away from them. Why? I'd rather not go into that because I don't really know how to put it politely, but let's just say that there is a HUGE cultural difference between blacks in America and Africa. Keep in mind that there are always exceptions to every rule and I most certainly am not a bigot.

Again, I suggest you watch the Black in America special by CNN if you are at all interested or if you feel like learning something.
