nobody with any kind of taste for good and innovative music takes the grammy awards seriously, the panel have a tunnel vision view of the music scene that prevents them from being able to look beyond the most popular charts and artists.I had already come to the conclusion that this years grammy awards were farcical, not because beyonce had won so many awards, but because this years awards more than ever before showed an inability to look beyond the most popular artists or to look beyond the borders of the USA.My own view of beyonce however is that as an artist her music is too polished, lacks raw appeal, and as with so many artists nowadays, she lacks the ability to take a new direction, instead preferring to haul out the same ole box of tricks year after year in order to keep up the commercial appeal ,what you might call the big sell out!!!
